Description of What Lies Beneath

This is from a series of paintings I created of a great love….. Seabrook Island.

Seabrook has been in my blood for decades. Some of my greatest memories were created on this island with the love of my life, and our five dogs (now all gone).

This image is representational of how danger is often camouflaged. On this beautiful Summer day, I witnessed hundreds of crabs playfully bouncing and feeding in the surf, only to themselves quite suddenly become prey.

What Lies Beneath can currently be seen at my solo exhibition Resist and Preserve in Harbison Theatre at Midlands Tech in Irmo, South Carolina through June 10, 2019.

What Lies Beneath previously exhibited during my solo exhibition Resist Division at Frame of Mind in West Columbia, South Carolina from December 7, 2018 through January 2019.

Available in limited edition prints.
